Utopia Academy's Mission Statement
Utopia Academy, in partnership with Spa Utopia™, is dedicated to providing the
best education that will prepare graduates for a successful career! We are
guided by values of respect, passion, integrity and compassion.
Our History
In 1984 Awni Abu-Ulba founded Utopia Hair and Skin Care Studio in Abbotsford,
and in 1988 started Utopia Academy of Advanced Hair Design also in Abbotsford,
British Columbia. These two companies have grown from humble beginnings into three,
state of the art, award-winning day spas and two academies with over 300
employees.
As President of Spa Utopia, and with a Degree in Education, Awni’s passion for quality service and
education resulted in a name change and expansion of the original Utopia Academy
of Advanced Hair Design. Our new name is Utopia Academy of Integrated Health and
Beauty (Utopia Academy).
There are two locations in British Columbia, Abbotsford and downtown Vancouver. Utopia Academy is a premier educational institute that offers training programs and diplomas in Massage Therapy, Esthetics Hair Design, Make Up Artistry and Nail Technology. These Programs exceed the provincial regulatory and industry standards.
